FAQ- Sankatana Syrups

  1. How does it work?

The Sankatana products contain a variety of anti-inflammatory ingredients that directly target the “checkpoints” in your body that are involved with the development of severe symptoms related to inflammatory diseases such as COVID-19, Asthma and most Pneumonias.  Sankatana achieves this through inhibition of a protein called NF-kB, which directs the pro-inflammatory or anti-inflammatory responses in patients.   This protein is dysregulated (out-of-control) in many inflammatory diseases including COVID-19.

  1. Can I take too much?

The ingredients in the Sankatana products are all derived from food products, and thus the high sugar (fructose) content of honey is the only limiting factor, notably for diabetics. Having said that, please see the point below for further information.

  1. I’m diabetic. Can I take Sankatana products?

The main carrier ingredient is 100% pure honey, which does contain a high percentage of sugars. However, the low dose volume means that 10ml of Sankatana contains less sugar than many fruits. See the table below:

Sankatana Sugar Content

  1. Can I take multiple products at once?

You can take as many as you need to at the same time. However, we don’t recommend taking full doses of more than two Sankatana products at the same time as it becomes expensive and wasteful as there is some overlap in benefits across the range. Should you need to use three or more concurrently, we recommend reducing the recommended dosage so that not more than 20ml in total is taken per morning, lunch or evening. For example, if 4 products are being taken simultaneously, then each should be taken at 5ml doses.

  1. Are Sankatana Syrups approved drugs?

Sankatana is essentially food; its ‘medicinal properties’ therefore make it a ‘herbal remedy’ or dietary supplement, and therefore it falls into the western herbal complementary medicine category.  Sankatana may become an approved drug for specific diseases in the future.
